What are Trace Minerals and the Role they Play in your Health

Trace minerals are naturally occurring substances that play an important role in keeping the human body healthy and functioning properly.

When minerals enter the human body through the food we eat that do not dissolve nor change form, hence they are known as inorganic substances.

There are two types of minerals your body requires, these are major minerals and trace minerals.

The difference between major and trace minerals is based on the amount we need.  For major minerals, the human body required at least 100mg/day for adults.

For trace minerals, the human body requires 1-100mg/day for adults.
